Come to our meetup and we’ll show you how to use HTML with Visual Studio to create your own app in minutes.  Even if you don’t know HTML, we’ll have you going in short order.

We simply created a SINGLE PAGE APP in HTML.  We added some JQUERY MOBILE to format the fields for the phone.  (Yes, Bootstrap or Angular.JS would work, too).  Then we created a new, empty app using our brand-new “template app”.  Finally, drag/drop the HTML/JavaScript.  We are DONE!   Publish the app to the store.

We’re going to show you:

1. How we made our Visual Studio template (framework) so you can do your own.

2. How we coded up the HTML/JavaScript (you can use Visual Studio, Notepad, Dreamweaver, Construct 2, GameMaker, or whatever you want that generates HTML)

3. How we used ThemeRoller to make the theme for JQueryMobile more “Metro”

4. How to merge the HTML into our Template

4. How to get JavaScript to talk to the C#, and C# to talk to the JavaScript so we could handle the BACK button on the phone, etc, etc.

5. How to publish the app.

6. We will discuss how this technique can be used on Win8, and the other platforms, too!
