Putting Students Head’s in the Cloud while Keeping their Feet on the Ground

Cloud computing is becoming an increasingly important part of the IT strategies of organizations.  However, few higher education institutions are actively working to educate students about cloud computing and to prepare them for careers in an IT landscape where required knowledge of cloud computing is becoming more the rule than the exception.  This presentation will discuss the efforts of Nova Southeastern University’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences to fill this void through the creation of two new graduate certificate programs in cloud computing and an investment in facilities to support the education of the next generation of cloud computing professionals.
