The Global Day of Code Retreat 2012 is a software development workshop to practice test driven development and improve your coding skills.
Code Retreat consists of 5-6 sessions where developers can practice:
- Pair programming
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Good coding patterns
- You share a computer with somebody else and help each other work on a problem.
- What a best way to meet new friends and show (off) your coding skills
Tentative Schedule:
- Binge donut eating at 8am
- Write awesome code from 9am to 5pm
- Brewskies from 5 to 7pm.
Participants:
If you want to participate in the Code Retreat, you have to be a developer at any skill level, new intermediate or advanced. With ANY programming language experience in web or mobile development.
Who is Corey Haines:
Corey Haines is the creator of the Code Retreat format, a software developer based in Chicago. The Global Day of Code Retreat is a day to create awareness around the world to improve best practices of software development using TDD.

Creatus Angels are Carlos and Tom Ordonez. Entrepreneurs pushing the boundaries of tech, software, aviation and homebrewing. Carlos has a couple of college degrees and many years of business experience. Tom claims to have mastered the arts of customer development and spends his late nights getting better at code.
