It’s spring time and instead of April showers dotNet Miami is going to rain some technical knowledge on you. Service-Oriented Architecture is something that we know we should be doing and many of us are. But are you doing Service-Oriented Architecture the right way? Software architect Patrick Timothee will show us how to separate concerns and properly build highly scalable and highly available applications. Also, Push Pradhan will drop by to help us overcome “Analysis Paralysis” and help us to start writing code that’s more useful. This is going to be a fantastic night full of useful suggestions that will help you build better applications.

Service Oriented Design the Right Way
Your average application these days operates simultaneously on a wide variety of domain models. Whether you are building a mid-size application to large scale enterprise system in this session you will learn how to segregate these concerns with a service oriented design approach. While SOA has been in vogue for quite a while now, learn how to do it right with both RPC and messaging patterns in creating collaborative applications.
Patrick Timothee is a software enthusiast with ten years of professional software development experience. Patrick is well versed in developing Web based solutions using Microsoft technologies. His primary area of interest are Web Applications and Web Services. Patrick currently works as a Solution Architect at Qpay where he assists in the redesign and implementation of a distributed web based POS system.
