Mr. Barnes is an Architect in the Developer & Platform Evangelism division within Microsoft Corporation, where he engages with customer and partner architects to present Microsoft’s architectural vision and demonstrate how Microsoft technologies can be applied at the enterprise level to meet the current and evolving needs of the organization. Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry as a developer, analyst and architect. Jeff joined Microsoft Consulting Services in 1998 and over 7 years consulting on application server and developer technologies. He has deep experience in the retail, manufacturing, and financial industries. Jeff has a passion around the discipline and challenges of software engineering, recognizing that architecture has as much of a social context as a technical one. He especially enjoys the freedom and flexibility that .NET brings to the table in order solve the next generation of really tough technical challenges.
