Miami is rapidly becoming a hub for technology and creative talent, and it is important for organizations like Emphasys to foster and encourage more opportunities for participation. Enter, the Makin Bacon Hackathon.

At this event, teams will be building mobile and web apps while competing for prizes and swag, and networking with fellow Miami techies. (and eating bacon!)

Participants will pitch ideas, form teams (or work alone), and build projects based on the listed APIs (see below for full list) to turn their ideas into reality in a limited amount of time.

Judges will later review the partially or fully completed projects and award prizes. Teams should be able to show enough to demonstrate their vision, and how they intend to implement it technologically.
