The Miami-Dade CountyPublic Schools STEM Advisory Board (previously the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Academy of Information Technology Advisory Board.) will meet Thursday August 9th at 8AM at the DeVry University Miami campus.

The board is seeking new members from our local community in the fields of engineering, health sciences and information technology.

PURPOSE

The Advisory Board functions in a leadership capacity to local National Academy Foundation (NAF) Academy programs of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The purpose of this Board is to marshal resources of the engineering, health sciences and information technology industries to serve the needs of Academy students and teachers and to support the development of additional quality IT Academies.

OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of the Advisory Board is for local business, higher education and community leaders to collaborate with academy staff to improve STEM literacy and to provide industry context and work-based learning for all students
