What is Code Camp?

Code Camp is a FREE one day GEEK FEST held on Saturday February 9, 2013 This is the ninth year for South Florida Code Camp. The event will have speakers from the local community and beyond. Speakers will be presenting some of the most requested topics like Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, ASP.NET, Javascript, JQuery, Visual Studio 2012, MVC Framework, Sharepoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012. This event is like Tech-Ed for Free but it’s community driven by a group of dedicated volunteers and speakers. Breakfast and lunch is included!

Electronic Material:

  • You are free to bring or give out anything you want at the event but instead of a bag we will be creating a flash drive with a content directory for each sponsor.
  • To accommodate formatting and loading of the drives, we will need all material to be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event: Monday, January 28, 2013
  • As this is our first year doing the electronic delivery, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! We are considering various ways to motivate people to look at the content.

 Pre-Event Speaker Reception – $2000 (taken)

  • Sponsor for reception that includes all the speakers (many MVP and other influential) and volunteers.
  • Gives specific visibility to your company with the influential attending code camp.
  • Will work with you to define what and where this is.
  • Includes all the Gold benefits

 Post-Event Reception – $2000 (taken)

  • Sponsor for reception that includes all the speakers (many MVP and other influential) and volunteers plus any attendee that wants to come.
  • Will work with you to define what and where this is and how much you want to spend.
  • Usually cash bar but provide some food
  • Includes all the Gold benefits as well

Payments / Requirements:

  • Pay relevant vendor directly (as directed by code camp staff)
  • Make check payable to “Computer Ways, Inc.”
  • Use PayPal Donate button on code camp site.

Liability Insurance (if you have a table)

  • Nova is requiring us to get a certificate of liability insurance from each vendor.
  • If you have this no problem, if you don’t give me a call and we can discuss. It should not be a problem to resolve.
  • We do not anticipate anyone would be excluded as there are a number of solutions
